(No) Direction Home?

I'm glad so many U.S. voters saw this sign I brought back from Ireland (it was not easy getting it through Customs and TSA security; I told them it was First Amendment expression). When I got back, I had these signs erected in front of polling places around the country. You know, trying to make a point about the direction these folks had us headed in.

I think it really helped to get the message out there.

Let's hope "they" heed the warning ("they" being Democrats and Republicans alike, and that Independent in Vermont, too).

Laugh. Or. . . . .

Else.

With reference to your last post, there have been some very catty 'obituaries' of Rumsfeld in the UK press. Most entertaining.

Seems many of us did see your sign and heeded the warning. Thanks, couldn't have done it without you :)

fun blog! I like it! Haha I read your first "Solipsism" entry and that other one I agree it's a beautiful word, certainly one of my favorites as well, the ONLY word I ever need to know! The first time I started using it was in describing how iPods and excessive public headphone use isolate the modern individual into a solipsistic world.

Awesome! If you invert the picture on the sign it looks like Pac-Man with a nose ring sporting a Go-tee.

The only better sign I've seen is the one near the U.S.-Mexico border that's like those Deer Warning signs, but has 3 people running and holding hands. I need one of those and one of these.

Hm.

I would be surprised if anyone who voted would understand the intent of that sign.

Remember, these are the same people who thought they should give Bush four more years to get us out of the mess he made.

Too bad that sign wasn't there in 2004. Perhaps they would have driven off of a cliff and saved the Union.

I simply must have that sign. What are your demands?

Voting.

Hahaha.

Hm. I didn't bother. I don't see much difference between a Clinton or a Bush, except maybe a few more brain cells with the former. Other than that, they're both murderous pricks.

Personally, I think the sign is representative of where we're headed, regardless of how you vote. Color me pessimistic, I suppose.

BTW, Solipsism rules. First got wind of the coolness of the word from Henry Rollins' book (listed in my favorites).

Thanks for dropping by and for your comments. I'll have to link you up, this is a good blog.

It truely is a sign of the times. Even the best choice was the worst choice.

Makes me wonder what kind of sign will be appropriate for the US presidential election in 2008!
