This guy in Uganda, Bashir Ramathan, is blind.
He boxes.
He requires that his opponents blindfold themselves.
Sometimes the two boxers are "back to back, punching like crazy in the absolute wrong direction."
I once saw a Gospel musical with the evocative title "Your Arms Too Short to Box with God."
I box blind a lot. Most of the time I don't even take off my glasses.
I'm hoping to hang the gloves up before it's too late.
Somebody can get hurt with all that flailing.
And not just me.
(p.s. The movie "Boxing Helena" was stupid and dreadful.)

my goodness. I couldn't even imaging trying to do something like that blind.
I love it when people ignore the supposed handicaps of life and go on living strong, regardless of the curve balls that are thrown in.
Bravo to him.
And yes, Boxing Helena was horrible. I took it out of the VCR and put it directly into the trash bin the first and last time I watched it.

Now that takes courage, and strength of character!
